St Andrews works to be God’s hands in the world. Not only in our community in Howard County but beyond ourselves to different regions and countries.
What is mission and what is ministry?
“Mission” is an organized effort to share Christ’s love broadly, often requiring us to go out into the world, crossing boundaries, and forming partnerships. “Ministry” refers to the ways we serve and care for one another in community. At St. Andrew’s, we organize to advocate for better education across the state of Maryland, and we organize to create and distribute Winter Warm-up Kits to those living on the street. Ministry takes place where ever God’s people go, and includes the ways we operate as church community, such as preparing the buildings for worship and visiting the sick. At St. Andrew’s, we use the words “mission” and “ministry” interchangeably.
