Several churches in the area support a program called “Winter Relief” for about 30 homeless men, which involves providing volunteers to spend the night at the shelter at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Linthicum. Dinner is served nightly and a hot breakfast is provided before the men leave for a day on the street. Some friends at St. Michael’s Old Catholic Mission in Glen Burnie have volunteered to cover the week of January 2-8 (a change from last week), and they would really appreciate help with providing dinner for everyone on those dates. This would involve providing dinner for 30 men and delivering it to St. Christopher’s by 5 or 5:30 on one of those days. If needed, help can be provided in transporting the food. If you think you can help in this way, either by yourself or with someone else, please call the office at 410-489-4035.
